“We are quite used to regular external audits with
our recent ISO 9001 Quality Procedures Management System certification however this time we were audited by the Employment Agency Standards (EAS) and we are compliant, meaning we are legally certified to continue trading,” said Director; Jonathan Shepherd-Stubbs.
Agencies in the employment industry (like us) are selected both randomly and geographically by the EAS Inspectorate who carry out proactive targeted inspections around the UK to check for compliance with legislation. This is a risk-based assessment for determining priorities and directing compliance and enforcement.
In recent weeks, we were notified we had been randomly selected for an inspection by the EAS who request to see a copy of our business terms for our clients, documentation we have obtained from randomly selected
job seekers and proof of any advertisements placed along with many other requirements from their criteria.
Jonathan added; “An inspection from the EAS is extremely thorough to ensure that businesses meet the legal framework for compliance, and we are delighted to say that after 35 years in business….. WE ARE STILL IN BUSINESS.”
