Software Engineer

Our client is has a job vacancy for Software Engineer to join their team.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

• Design HMI screens and PLC code
• Support of existing PLC software through troubleshooting and implementation of corrective action
• Communicate with customers and implement their specific needs
• Support through initial PLC software loading
• Support of customer equipment startups requiring travel, a mix of domestic and international, and flexible work hours
• Works efficiently and independently on software design projects
• Team coordination will be required on large projects
• Performs other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge & Experience Required:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with Siemens TIA Portal or Rockwell ControlLogix
• Minimum of 4 years of experience within automotive and robotics
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives
• Experience with ControlNet and EtherNet as applied in Industrial Networks
• Experience with Eplan P8 would be an advantage but not vital
• Knowledge of industrial control system principles and standard approaches

 

Technical Competencies:

Remuneration:

• Salary £35-50k depending on experience
• 29 days holiday (including Stat)
• Workplace pension
• Yearly bonus scheme worth up to 5% of salary
• £350 pcm car allowance or company car
