About the Role

Our client seeks a driven and commercially minded Sales Account Manager to join their growing team in their well-established and expanding business. You will take ownership of managing and expanding both new and existing customer accounts, securing sales and ensuring orders are completed efficiently. A key part of the role involves reading and interpreting technical and CAD drawings to deliver the right solution for each customer. You will be the single point of contact for your customers, delivering first-class service and building lasting relationships.

 

Main Duties

  • Create and secure new business opportunities
  • Nurture and grow existing customer accounts
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best pricing for customers
  • Prepare quotes and close deals in line with company policies and profit margins
  • Follow up on quotations to drive speedy deal closure
  • Use all available communication channels – telephone, email, and social media including LinkedIn
  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Track and report on sales performance and customer feedback
  • Maintain and develop a healthy pipeline of leads
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to meet customer expectations
  • Uphold the company Customer Pledge at all times

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous sales experience is essential, ideally within a solution sales environment in manufacturing or engineering
  • Dynamic and tenacious approach – results-driven, proactive, and self-motivated
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a real desire to reach and exceed targets
  • Excellent communication skills and a flexible, collaborative approach
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently to a high standard
  • Computer literate with at least intermediate skills in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of technical drawings and dimensions is desirable
  • Experience with CAD is desirable
  • Willingness to travel to meet customers and attend industry events and networking
  • A genuine desire to learn and be challenged
