Are you a quality driven professional with a passion for engineering excellence? Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to play a vital role in ensuring the effectiveness of their Quality Management Systems, supporting innovation, compliance, and continuous improvement across our UK operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Quality Engineer, you’ll support senior management in upholding our commitment to top-tier quality by:
- Implementing and maintaining corporate and industry standards across all processes
- Driving quality planning into business processes and promoting a risk based, process-oriented approach
- Leading and supporting internal and supplier audits (ISO, customer, and regulatory)
- Coordinating and facilitating problem-solving activities (8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis)
- Supporting Simultaneous Engineering projects, ensuring quality is embedded from concept to completion
- Preparing and validating product quality documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying deviations, and leading improvement actions
- Acting as a quality ambassador, promoting continuous improvement and quality culture across all departments
Your Skills & Qualifications
- HNC or higher in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline – or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, including ISO 9001, CE/CA Marking, and customer-specific requirements
- Proficient in quality tools and methodologies: FMEA, PPAP, 8D, control plans, Quality Gates
- Skilled in SAP or similar enterprise systems, MS Office, and data analysis/reporting
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience with hydraulic systems/products is highly desirable
- Internal/Lead Auditor certification is an advantage
