St. Neots  |  Full-time  |  Day Shift

Salary: £12.71 per hour (National Living Wage)

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Mon–Thu: flexible start 6am–8am, finish 3pm–5pm  |  Fri: finish 12pm

Annual Leave: 25 days, with the option to purchase a further 5 days

Experience required: 1 year in manufacturing

The Role

Currently looking for a proactive and dynamic Production Operative who can balance enthusiasm with a measured, methodical approach. You will be working on the production floor, operating machinery, monitoring processes and ensuring the quality of finished products. Full training is provided – after 6 months you will be confident working independently with minimal supervision.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production machinery safely and efficiently
  • Carry out daily preventative maintenance tasks, including machine cleanliness
  • Perform weekly routine machine maintenance (hands-on within the machines)
  • Monitor production processes throughout the shift
  • Inspect and approve finished products within your area of responsibility
  • Work independently after training, with the ability to follow detailed work instructions

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Good literacy skills – able to read and understand technical job cards
  • Solid numeracy skills – capable of calculating machine speeds, chemical measurements, and component yields
  • Sharp eye for detail and a commitment to product quality
  • Ability to work at pace both mentally and physically, with strong multi-tasking skills
  • Good eyesight (glasses and contact lens wearers are welcome)
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience
  • UK work authorisation
  • Ability to reliably commute to St. Neots, PE19 2HP, or willingness to relocate
