Injection Moulding Setter | £35,000 to 40,000 | Hertfordshire (SG2)

Shepherd Stubbs have partnered with key leader in Precision Engineering. This proven business has been in the home counties now for over 50 years and houses a team of 18 members – Made up of Engineering, workshop and back-office staff. They are now looking for another valuable candidate to join an ever-growing business!

As an Injection Moulding Setter, you’re the figurehead in maintaining tooling standards and efficiency with the companies Workshop – Your attention to detail will be a key presence in this potentially rewarding position.

It’s important you are an adaptable yet strong individual in an ever-changing industrial environment. The role will also vary depending on workload, so an ability to multitask and prioritise tasks where needed is a “must!”

 

Main Duties: –

  • Safe mounting and dismounting of injection mould tools
  • Setting up Injection Moulding tools and operating moulding machine
  • Tool changes, trials and process set-up
  • Machine maintenance where needed
  • Quality Control on tooling
  • Responsible for use of engineering machines where necessary
  • Modification of Injection Mould Tools
  • Dealing with Customers and suppliers
  • Stock checking on regular occasions
  • Preparing new Mould Tools for production
  • Maintenance, repair and modification of Injection Mould Tools

 

Ideal candidate:

  • Work Experience involving an injection moulding workshop & tooling is a must
  • Knowledge of Arburg/Demag machining, with a board knowledge of Materials
  • Excellent Communicator between your colleagues and customers
  • Vast understanding of Moulding tools for the production process
  • Proximity – within 20 miles of SG2 postcode region – Hertfordshire ideal
  • High attention to detail and ability to work within tight timeframes
