Job Description

My client is an industry leader in the production of food manufacturing equipment and they now seek an Electrical Engineer to join their team within an industrial environment; it is a factory-based role but may require occasional travel to remote manufacturing sites.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Building Control panels to technical drawings, including cutting and fitting of wire ducting and din rail.
  • Wiring Control panels to electrical schematic drawings.
  • Testing Control panels to relevant documentation.
  • Fault finding Control panels.

 

The following experience and skills would be an advantage for your success in the role:

  • Practical Electrical wiring experience in an industrial environment. Mechanical experience would also be beneficial.
  • Can manage a dynamic workload and have a flexible approach to the role whilst maintaining excellent problem-solving abilities and an eye for details.
  • Is experienced in reading and interpreting technical drawings and interpreting data in written/numerical form on electrical systems.
  • Works well as an individual and effectively within a group.

 

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

You would be contracted to work 39 hours per week, Monday – Friday with a 10-minute break 10.00 am – 10.10 am, and ½ hour lunch break 1.00 pm – 1.30 pm.

Working Hours:
Monday 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 4.00 pm
Tuesday 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 4.30 pm
Wednesday/Thursday 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 5.00 pm
Friday 7.30 am – 12 noon (unless working overtime).

Overtime is generally available and paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. It is expected that a reasonable amount of overtime be worked as requested by Supervisor or Manager.

Rate of pay is dependent on experience.
